Unlocking Autonomous Commerce: Payouts.com Integrates Casper for AI Agent Settlement

Payouts.com has selected Casper Network as a primary settlement layer for its AgentWallet and Digital Employees platforms. The integration combines Payouts.com’s AI payment infrastructure with Casper’s dollar-denominated stablecoin, csprUSD, enabling autonomous software to settle x402 payments on-chain after approval.

Payouts determines what an agent is allowed to spend and under which conditions. Casper settles those approved transactions. Implementation is already underway, with a phased rollout planned over the coming months.

When AI Agents Reach the Checkout Page

AI agents are starting to take ownership of work inside companies. A developer might hand one an engineering task and come back to a completed pull request. A finance team might let another process invoices throughout the day. With the right collection of agents working together, one person can accomplish far more than they could a year ago.

Then everything stops when the workflow reaches a payment step.

The agent finds the right service. It understands the price. It knows what needs to be purchased. But in the end, it waits for a human to enter a credit card and make the purchase.

Imagine a self-driving car taking you across town, navigating rush-hour traffic without a problem, only to stop two houses before your destination and ask you to park it yourself.

Where Payouts and Casper Meet

AgentWallet gives every AI agent its own financial identity, wallet, and spending permissions. Businesses decide what an agent can purchase, how much it can spend, and the rules it has to follow before any money moves.

Digital Employees builds on that foundation, allowing organizations to deploy AI workers that can carry out financial and operational tasks without stepping outside those boundaries.

Authorizing a payment, however, isn’t the same as completing one.

Payouts already supports x402, the HTTP-native payment standard that allows software to request payment directly instead of redirecting through a checkout page built for humans. Once an agent has permission to spend, Casper becomes the settlement layer beneath that workflow.

Payments are settled using csprUSD, giving agents a stable dollar-denominated asset that lets software reason about cost before committing to a transaction. Combined with Casper’s predictable, fixed-cost transaction model, agents can execute high volumes of micropayments without pricing uncertainty or prohibitive network fees.
