Hosted by the Casper Association and co-sponsored by Halborn Security, Casper Hackathon 2026 has officially been announced and will kick off on November 14, 2025.
We invite builders to launch new ideas and turn them into working applications on the Casper Network.
Community votes will play a central role in deciding the winners, making this hackathon not only an opportunity for developers but a collective effort across the entire Casper ecosystem to shape the future of the network together.

Casper Hackathon 2026 introduces a community-first format where community members themselves play a central role in determining the outcome.
All submissions will be subject to on-chain voting through CSPR.fans, empowering participants to directly influence which projects advance to the final round, and ultimately, who takes home the prizes.
Finalists will be selected through a hybrid process consisting of on-chain votes that will surface the most resonant projects from the community, while the Casper Association retains the ability to advance additional high-impact teams whose ideas contribute to the long-term growth of the network.
Participants are free to build across multiple domains. To align with the prize structure and key focus areas, the following tracks will be established:
A total prize pool of $25,000 will be distributed across multiple categories:
Winners will also receive ongoing technical and marketing support from the Casper Association, along with visibility across the network’s communication channels and potential access to post-hackathon grants.
Casper offers a robust development environment with Rust-based smart contracts, WebAssembly execution, and seamless wallet integration via CSPR.click. The Odra framework accelerates development, while native Casper SDKs provide maximum flexibility for builders on the most common platforms.
Casper’s accessibility is part of a broader design philosophy focused on real-world utility. Its feature set is tailored to foster a decentralized environment where assets can operate by the same rules they follow off-chain. Instant finality and deterministic consensus give users clarity and confidence with every transaction. Smart contracts are upgradeable by default, allowing applications to evolve without disruption. The network itself is evolving with planned upgrades that will enable multiple virtual machines to run in parallel, offering a level of flexibility that remains rare in blockchain development. For developers who want to build real products, Casper provides the foundation to grow, adapt, and deliver use cases that go beyond the blockchain circle and reach into the real world.
